Wow, I know it's been a few minutes since I've made a blog post. I guess I better give some life updates. I think bullet points are the way to go here.
- I was laid off from the best job I've ever had on February 15th. This isn't my favorite part of this update by any means. I enjoyed the job, I adored the people I worked with, and I had been focused on my health which was easier considering the job provided great insurance. Thankfully they did provide a severance package so the effect of losing the job wasn't immediate. What this led to was a month of semi-frantically looking for a position. I had to have put well over 200 applications in. Unfortunately, while I have a new position it isn't exactly what I want to be doing. Probably another post for another time on that subject.
- Code Red is out now on all platforms. You can follow this link to get a copy for yourself! https://msha.ke/tcantrellauthor Being an officially published author isn't something I've fully processed yet. I think someday it will sink in, but I can't say that day is today lol. If you've been following this blog, I have been talking about my writing journey for many years, it's amazing to have finally gotten here.
- Book Two of the Reclaiming Wonderland Series officially has its title: Blue Dreams. I'm still currently working to get it finished (fingers crossed it's done before summer). Current word count: 41,509
- I'm not sure how much I discussed the insanity around my Nissan Rogue. It broke down in November of 2022. The family worked hard to do repairs (rebuilt engine and a new engine). Unfortunately, we finally had to make the call to do a voluntary surrender on it since it was not repairable. I was very blessed that my father assisted me with an adorable new vehicle. It's too recognizable for me to comfortable posting a photo, but I will say it's a special edition Kia Soul. I've absolutely adored it so far.
While a lot of other general chaos has ensued over the last several months, I can't imagine trying to actually list it all out. I have more posts that will hopefully be coming soon. My journey as an indie author has just begun. Thank you to everyone who has followed along on the journey so far.
